Does Your Organization Need a Social Media Policy?

Recent social media news is full of stories of large sports organizations imposing new social media policies.  ESPN is requiring that reporters only discuss topics that are beneficial to the company.  The NFL restricts players, coaches, and employees from updates 90 minutes before game time until after the post game interviews.  The SEC tried some of the most restrictive regulations, going so far as to demand that fans refrain from distributing photos, videos or written accounts of conference member teams.
